I am finally scanning my film from our Mexico trip we took in April. I am so behind in film scanning, I am grounding myself from shooting film until I get all my developed film scanned. This is a great and horrid punishment to put on myself, but I fear I won’t get it done otherwise.
While we were in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, we went on a mini road trip up the coast of Baja to a small town, Todos Santos.
It was a sweet town filled with small restaurants and souvenir shops.
I especially loved the mission, Mision De Todos Santos.
It was gorgeous inside. I was thankful I had brought my Yashica LM. It is small enough to take pictures in low light.
They also had a Hotel California. We didn’t check in for fear we would never leave.
And I, of course, needed to catch myself while there.
All photos were taken with my Yashica LM with Kodak TMax 400 film.
I am doing this project with some lovely photographers. Please take a look at Maite’s story in ten images and then journey through the blog roll.
The b&w film gives these an old time feel!
Thank you, babe!
So beautiful in b/w film! I’m in love with the church shot. Excellent work, Staci!!
Thank you! Me too!
A beautiful story in black and white Staci! I would not have thought to capture the colors of Mexico in black and white, but it’s beautiful! I see more of the texture of the area. 🙂
Don’t worry, I have some color!
What a lovely look back at your day Staci! I too, love the monotone captures. My absolute favorite has to be the one you took inside the mission though. So peaceful, bright and hopeful!
Thank you! I love that one too!
Making me SO want to return to Mexico….
Right?! Me too!
Brilliant! I love how the black and white makes Mexico seem otherworldly.
