I can’t put my finger on it, but I like something about this. I think it speaks to me about what my life looks like right now.
So many of my friends are hurting. My heart breaks for them. I know it is part of life… to hurt, to grieve, to feel pain and sorrow. However, it can be hard to hold friends gently; allowing them to feel it all and not move them on to more comfortable emotions.
Today I go with my father to move my Grandmother to hospice. She has wanted to go home to heaven for some time. I pray she is no longer in pain and goes home quickly. I also pray for all of us who must continue here. May we love each other, support each other and be gentle with each other.
Hanging on to one of my favorite Psalms today.
I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not <sup class="crossreference" style="font-size: 0.65em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;" value="(F)”>let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will <sup class="crossreference" style="font-size: 0.65em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;" value="(L)”>keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.

Thank you for holding me this week and all the other weeks you have held me. I love this Psalm…it's not the shortest but you know. 😉 Life can be blurry and messy, that's for sure. But I am glad we can be in it together.
