5 on 5: july

July was a peculiar month as far as photography goes.  On one hand, I was in a huge photography funk all month-long.  We would go on photo walk after photo walk and I would take one or two photos.  On the other hand, I was in my first gallery.  I know. There is a very large gap there.

We went on a photo walk for this dude’s birthday. This was after a flaming margarita.

Same walk.  Same margarita.  The British can handle their liquor better.

The Arts District Flea was a huge thing for me on so many levels.  It reminded me to pick up my camera.  Just. Shoot.  Damn it.

So I did.  Even if it was just water.

My face says it all here, doesn’t it?

So are these my favorite five photos from July?  No.  It is really more like the only photos from July.  I shot two rolls of film.  Two.  This month I am forcing myself to pick up my camera every day.  I am also hoping to shoot more film.

If you want to see some amazing photographer’s work…. and move away from my funky July,  head on over to Vanessa’s beautiful blog next, then continue on through.

I like my cameras old, my shoes comfortable, and my whiskey neat.
